Situated in St Judes, 3 miles outside of Ramsey, amongst outstanding Manx parkland estate in the forefront of the historic seat of the Crellin family is Ballachurry Equestrian Centre.
With over 35 years experience within the equine industry and with the equestrian centre being started from scratch just over eight years ago, this family run business has snowballed and continues to expand, now being able to take riders as young as 4 years and upwards.
We are very proud that continued growth is due to our wonderful reputation of offering a safe, friendly learning environment and providing a quality of horse or pony to ride, above and beyond we hope individuals would endeavour to own themselves.
Four years ago a breeding program was initiated to ensure that the standard and continuity of the stock used at the centre would remain at this high standard hopefully for many years to come.
Our small numbers on groups mean that clients receive a lot of individual attention, are not treated like a number, and improvement and learning rates are increased greatly.
Currently as the welfare of our equines is always upmost in our thoughts we are embarking on a re schooling project with bit less bridles which clients will be able to use in the near future, making riders of all levels and disciplines automatically more sympathetic in the hand whilst learning to achieve that perfect position!
We offer quality riding tuition for riders from 4 years of age, and cater for both individuals and groups. Our 40x20m indoor school is ideal for lessons or perhaps a ride-out through the Ballachurry estate. We also offer river and beach rides and cater for all abilities.
